final stop.

and the final destination was toronto. arrived here today. before that we went to see one of the great wonders of the world. it was SO COLD. it was the first time in the whole trip that i felt the pain in my ears, and i could hardly feel my face. it was actually quite bad today; the wind was exceptionally strong today. but. braving the cold and the strong wind was worth it. the Niagara Falls. it was simply magnificent. jus so amazing, so beautiful. its indeed a great wonder of the world. took some pictures. will upload when i get back to vancouver.

touched fresh snow today! finally! it was so cool walking on a road filled with it. feels soo goood. hehe. it was a good day today.

staying in Marriot hotel which is connected to a HUGE MALL! so, its SHOPPING tomorrow! and the next day. and the next day. till we leave. hehehe =p

second stop.

second stop was kingston. was there for 4 days 3 nights, then it was off to toronto. didnt do much there. basically jus eating, and more eating. oh, but i visited the Queens University which my cousin is studying in. its really big place, very nice. took some pictures of Lake Ontario which is opposite the university. it was totally frozen thou; frozen waves too! it was beautiful.

oh, there was bubble tea in one of the streets. it was good!

a dream come true.

drove up to whistler today - a one and a half hour drive up from home. the best thing happened, the one thing big thing is was looking forward to for this trip. and after 20 years. i finally see snow today. it was a double blessing, when a light snow fall started. i stood in the cold cold weather beneath the snow fall, and just took in every single moment of it. it was beautiful. simply beautiful =]

also catched a movie up there. watched 'music and lyrics'. it was good. sweeet =] will probably be going up to whislter again on saturday. more snow! cant wait!

the family cat, cody, is sitting comfortably on my lap as i'm typing this entry. when will sasha ever do that....

it's just so different.

it just feels so good being around the people here. unfamiliar passer-bys on the streets greeting u a warm friendly smile ; cashiers at the supermarket starting a casual conversation with u, and wishing u a good day ahead as u collect ur change and prepare to leave; u dont find this happening very often in singapore, do u? well this is what it's like here in vancouver. everyone treats everyone with respect; u dont get by anywhere without receiving a smile from someone - anyone.
it's such a nice place to be in, really...

i am so AMAZED. not. the family dog, Shappy, happily took a chew on my handphone charger wire while i was having my dinner, and left me with TWO pieces instead of a single one. my battery's completely dead, and i soo needed to charge my phone. thanks to u, Shappy, i cant read mommy's msgs till i find a charger here. like hopefully =X

*mommy come online sooon so we can chat! =]

OMG. like totally WRONG. i think when i get back, ill be waking up at 4am wanting to have lunch! GOSH.

zonked.

i left singapore at 10am on a saturday morning, and its 9.20pm on a saturday night here in vancouver now. which basically means, i just lived 2 back to back saturdays! wow! haha. and, i barely slept on the plane at all - the most i got was a half an hour nap, out of the entire 18+ hour journey. so which also means, i havent had any proper sleep in 2 whole days. wow again! almost entirely zonked out.
its cold. cold. cold. but it beats being all hot and sweaty! im gunna hate it once i get used to this cold weather, and then its back to sunny singapore - hot! =X

*good nite mommy. iloveu.

SQ 018.

on board SQ 018; SIA just rocks la. u just feel so satisfied being a passenger in that flight. service is good - wide range of latest movies/music, which replaces any need for sleep; and, you are being fed round the clock. i mean it; i can hardly remember a time when i wasnt given something to eat. and of cos, the crew members were simply great; the males in particular. you dont get served by such nice people everyday, so this is definitely something to brag about.
speaking of nice crew memebers, there was a pretty sweeet male-y that was just kinda...sweeet la - from serving food and drinks, to re-remembering (after 1000 hours later) to get me a deck of cards i had requested for at the beginning of the flight, to offering me a hand during my attempt to get my hand-carry bag down from the cabin on top. made my day =] BUT. firstly, i do not know his name (i failed to attempt to find out from his name tag). and secondly, we did not get the chance to say bye, even though i was among the last to leave the plane and he was actually still around too =X so.. thats just gunna be a one day passing event. haa!
nevertheless, the 'mystery man', together with another more senior guy, Edward, who was the chief steward for that day (he was a big guy that looked serious, tried to act big, but turned out to be hell of a clown!) contributed to help make the trip a very pleasant and non-dreadful one for us all (apart from this one old lady sitting behind me, who was utterly incosiderate - she disgustingly rested her foot on my arm rest throughout most of the journey; i had to deal with a foot stuck just less than 10cm away, right behind me. horrible!)

"if it can be dreamed, it can be done..."

the pre-departure.

so things could not get more worst than the pathetic luggage bag not being able to close and LOCK; and at what time - 7.15am, 45mins before we're suppose to be at the airport! it was so bad. everyone was so stress and rushing to get things in place; it really wasnt a good start to the morning =X
anyway. once at airport, checked in luggages and then had free time for about 45mins till 9.30am when we had to go in. tell u, 15mins before having to go in, there was quite a teeny weeny bit of drama. mum & i - many many "tears exchange" =p it delayed a bit too long so by the time we checked in we literally had to run to our departure gate! haha! what a 'happening' start..
more to come...

before take off...

without ur help, bernams, this site wouldnt have existed at all, neither would have been the "my multiply" one! so a big THANKS! =]

i just hope i keep up with updating the blog and uploading the pics, so that u all, including (hopefully) Mummy (IF she succeeds in learning how to use my lappy, with the step by step instructions she has requested for), will be able to keep in touch and up to date with me despite us being so far away.

it's gunna be a really long time away; i hope i can take the distance; i hope i can take the miles; i hope i can take the time until i next see u again.
